TimeShift does NOT collect any personal data. We do not track your usage, store your conversion history remotely, or share any information with third parties. All processing happens locally on your device.

How TimeShift Works

TimeShift is a client-side only extension. When you use TimeShift to convert timezones:

  • ✓ Timezone data is stored locally within the extension
  • ✓ No data is ever sent to external servers
  • ✓ No internet connection is required for core functionality

Permissions We Use

TimeShift requires minimal permissions to function:

  • Storage (Optional)
    Used only if you choose to save your timezone preferences locally. This data never leaves your device.
  • Context Menus
    Required to add the right-click conversion option to your browser.
  • ActiveTab
    Allows the extension to read the selected text on the current page when you activate the conversion feature.

Third-Party Disclosure

We do not share any data with third parties. TimeShift does not:

  • ✗ Use any analytics services (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.)
  • ✗ Include any advertising or tracking scripts
  • ✗ Connect to any external APIs (except for optional timezone updates)
  • ✗ Sell or trade user data to any third parties

Data Retention

We do not retain any user data. TimeShift does not store:

  • ✓ Conversion history
  • ✓ Timestamps of when you used the extension
  • ✓ Any personally identifiable information
  • ✓ Any data on external servers

Children's Privacy

TimeShift does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since we don't collect any personal data at all, this policy is naturally compliant with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act).

Changes to This Policy

If we ever make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last Updated" date above. Since we don't collect any data, any changes would only be to further clarify our practices or comply with new regulations.
